Snow day

A week ago Saturday at my parents house we had a snow day. Their HOA brought in a whole lot of snow for the kids to go sleding down, and for the kids to throw snowballs, and make snowmen. The kids love go down the hill on the sled they just thought that was the coolest ever. Then they wanted to play in the snow, but they wanted to take their gloves off, josh and I both told them that their little hands would freeze, but do you think they listened? No! Two mintues later they wanted their gloves back on. We had our fill of snow, it was a lot of fun to play in, but we are sure glad that we dont have to live in it everyday. (Sorry for those of you who do have to). We enjoy our warm winters!!

Temple Lights

A week ago Friday the we took the kids along with Grandpa to the Temple lights. They were very beautiful! It was also fun explaining the Nativity scene to the kids so they could try and understand what Christmas is all about. It became a little difficult after Josh had told Kael that there were crocodiles in the reflection pool, we completly lost him, he swore he could see their eyes peeking out of the water, and that is all he wanted to do was watch the water for crocodiles. After the lights we drove through starbucks and all got yummy hot chocolate.

My little soccer stud

Well Kael's soccer season came to an end the weekend before Thanksgiving, but with the holiday, my sisters endowment,s getting totally sick, I haven't had much time to put up any posts just little quick ones. But Kael had a fun time playing soccer. He did have his moments where he didn't want to play, he would rather play in the mud or fight with another boy. But when he did play he was just to cute, and how fun it was to have his dad be one of his coaches? He loved that! Josh didn't love it as much he had troubled with some little ones that didn't want to play at all they just wanted to goof off, that was frustrating but then again they are only 4 and 5. But Josh was such a cute coach! I just loved watching him play with those kids, and funny thing Josh had never played soccer so the whole thing was a learning experience for him as well. I cant wait till next year to see how they both will do!!

My little sister

Well my sister is getting married on December 28 2007. Last week my kids and my parents went to California because Alicia was taking out her endowments the date was Friday November 30 2007 at 5:30 in the LA Temple. It was a great night being with my little sister in the temple she was so excited. I was so proud of her and the decisions she has made in her life to be worthy to go through the temple. I love her fiance he is wonderful and I cant wait for them to get married! She wanted to go through early so she could attend the stake Jubilee. She is just so amazing and a great example to me and my kids. She couldnt wait to go back to the temple again. I love you sissy!

Emma turned 3

My sweet little baby girl turned 3 on December 3 but we have been so busy this month that I havent had time to put up much.
On December 2 2004 I was at work, I had just seen my doctor because I was continuing to go into labor. He gave me more medicine(which I didnt take) and told me that when I was 35 weeks he would just let me go into labor. Since I was 35 weeks I stopped taking my medicine, and I was at work getting very excited because I was having contractions all day and they werent the uncomfortable kind yet, so it was kind of exciting. Well I decided to stay the night at my moms house that night, because Johs still worked for the MTA and worked the night shift and I didnt want to go to the hospital alone with Kael. So around 1:30am I woke my mom up because the contractions were definetly starting to hurt and since my Hospital was in Pasadena I thought we should go. Kael stayed with my sissy Kimmi and Alicia and my mom went with me to the hospital. Not much had happened all night. So the next morning my sister went home, and my mom stayed. My doctor came in before work to check on me and at that time I got an epidural (which by the way was the best epidural ever! Didnt hurt it worked right away it was great!) Then after my epidural my doctor broke my water. Josh was also there by that time. Then my doctor came back in around his lunch time to deliver Emma. She came out and was 6lbs and I dont remeber anything else right now I would have to go look it up. But she had alittle difficulty breathing so they took her to the NICU (newborn intensive care unit) and she stayed there for a week. The following friday we got to take her home I was so excited! But they ran a hearing test on her and she failed so I was so sad for her. I felt that if she was deaf it was my fault. They said most likly she wasent deaf that she just still had fluid in her ears thats all. So we took her back 2 weeks later and she passed. We were all very excited! And she has been a little stinker ever since. Here are some pictures of Emmas Princess party that we had at my moms house yesterday. She loved everything about her day and it wouldnt have been that fun without my mom and everything she has done thankyou so much mom you really are the best!

Little Ones I am thankful for

I am so gratful for these sweet little honey's they make my life so wonderful. I am truly exhausted by the end of everyday because of them, but I wouldnt have it any other way. I love watching Kael learn new things he knows how to spell and read his name and to me that is just to amazing to me. I learn everything over and I love that. I cant believe I am going to admit this but I love all the silly questions Kael asks me like where in the world does he come up with this stuff? I love how sweet he is. He is such a please he always just wants approval of his parents. He loves to be loved.
I love how stubborn my little princess is and that she is already her own person no matter how I try to mold her the way I want her. She already knows what she likes and dislikes. She is such a little girl everything has to be pink or princess and she will love it forever. She loves her baby brother, she loves to take care of him and clean him smother him give him baby ruth candybars whatever to make him happy-even if he will choke on it (: She loves to be pretty she loves her hair done and jewlry on and perfum on she is just such a little girl and I love it!
My newest little one is such a little love. You look at him and he smiles at you. He is just so happy. He loves to sing in church when it is quiet. He blows rasberries when he wants you to know he is mad. He sleeps through the night.-That is just the greatest thing when your an already busy mommy. Not like I give him a choice in the matter. (: He loves Kael he loves to watch his older brother and see what funny thing he is doing. He is the happiest little baby ever. I love him so much I love watching him do new things like sit up,crawl, eat cherios. It is just the greatest thing when your child hits a milestone and your there to witness it.
I love that I get to stay home with my kids. I couldnt imagine having to leave my kids everyday with someone else. I love my husband, he is so amazing, he is truly the greatest dad ever (according to his kids). He works so hard for his family. His testimony of the gospel is just so amazing to me. I am so grateful for my life. The wonderful ups and the horrible downs. They are what makes us stronger. I just thought since it was Thanksgiving time I would share everything I am so grateful for.
Another thing is such a wonderful family so close. I love having my mom and dad so close. I wouldnt want it anyother way. They help us out so much and I am so Thankful for them.
I am also grateful for friends who are always a phone call away no matter the time of day I know I can call them. (:
The last thing I am grateful for is a healthy little one growing inside me I cant wait to meet this child and see there personality. I cant wait to see what they look like and what they will become. I am ready for a crazy life once this little one arrives. I cant wait for the chaos of four little ones 5 and younger. This will be the craziest time ever and I am so excited and grateful for my Heavenly Father in blessing me with everyting I cherish so much.

Emma

Emma says the funniest things and I want to write them down so I dont forget them. Last week after church I asked Emma what she learned in nursery and she said "uh my teacher was just annoying me!" It was so funny!!!

Then yesterday morning Josh had just woke up Aiden and brought him in the hall to get ready for bath before church and he was freezing cold and Emma said to him "A A was you in the fridge?" It was so funny. She has decided to call him A A I guess she likes it better than his name. I just cracked up when I heard it. It's probably not that funny to anyone who reads this unless you know Emma and how she talks.

Kaels Primary Program

Well yesterday was Kaels Ice Cream Party for the primary because hey did such an awesome job on their program. It was two weeks ago right before Halloween. I had been practicing with Kael since we got his part. He never wanted to practice with me though apparently I am not that cool. When the time came for him to go up on stage I was just so nervous I was SO nervous for him. I had no idea what he would do or if he would say his part or get scared or what. Well it was time for the sunbeams to go up and do their parts and we couldnt see Kael or the other kids. Then we heard it, it sounded like Kaels cry oh no we thought is that Kael? But it was someone else Kael had gotten right up on the step looked right at us and began to say his part "Wherefore they first believed in the son of God" he knew his part. He was so confident, he did such an amazing job. We were just so proud of him. I just cried with relief that he did so well. He even stood up and sang all of the songs. It was just so wonderful. I wanted to blog it before I forgot and since yesterday was their party I thought it would be a good time to jot it down. Kael you are such an amazing little man your growing into such a sweetheart and mommy and daddy are really really proud of you!!

A New Calling

Well it finally happend I had stayed under the radar for quite awhile, but I was found. Last Sunday our entire Primary presidency was released, and a new one called I was called to be the primary secretary. When the First councilor came to my house I was just so nervous as to what it could be. During the week I could have around 9 kids at my house at one time because I babysit. My kids alone are a handful! Saturdays we have Kaels soccer games I just thought i dont think I could plan a lesson every week right now, or with all these kids at my house I couldnt handle being in the nursery, but I also couldnt turn down a calling I would just feel to guilty. Not alot of people in our ward know I am pregnant and my dad said if it is to much Amanda just tell them your pregnant tell them about your daily life and that you just dont feel you can do it right now. How could I turn down a calling though? I talk tough like I would say no if it were something I didnt want to do, but I really wouldnt. So when he told me it was primary secretary I was just so excited. Granted I know it involves lots of meetings taking roll through out the primary, learning all the kids names, and not to mention the dozen or so reports that have to be turned into people on a monthly basis. I really think I can do this. I already have a meeting tonight-which is game night (forr those of you who dont know what game night is I will explain later). I have another meeting tomorrow and a stake baptism on Saturday luckly it is before Kaels game so I can pretend I am super mom and do it all.

Ok so last year when we were living in Santa Barbara my husband Josh got pretty comfy playing computer games after the kids go to bed but he would play all night and hog the computer. It was really starting to irritate me! So we made a compromise where he could play video games on Tuesday,Thursday and Saturday nights, but on the rest of the nights he has to do everything ie: clean up dinner, give the kids baths, help them brush teeth get dressed and so forth, giving me a much needed break.

So if my hubby reads this I just want you to know how grateful I am for your help. I know all of the sacrifies you make for our family and I truly appreciate them. Thankyou for supporting me in this calling and pretty much anything I want to do. You give me trouble but you always support me even if it isnt the right thing to do, you back me up (: -Believe me I get our family into pretty sticky situations like not to long ago I got our van stuck in the mud and my brother in law and his cousins had to help get us out. All because I said no go down this way I know its this way (it wasent). I love you Josh you are such an amaing guy. Thanks for doing such a great job of taking care of your family!!! (:

We went to pumpkin patches lots of Halloween parties 2 trunk or treats and then the final day of trick or treating. Josh and I are Zoo keepers my mom made us shirts that say the Barron Family Zoo. Literally it is a zoo here every day so we thought it was fitting this year. We went trick or treating in my moms neighborhood with Josh's sis Laura and her hubby and their rug rats. My kids had a blast, but were very tired at the end of it all. We look forward to next year. What shall we be? It is so much fun to dress up. I guess we will just see!

Pirate party

So my parents live in this great community where they are always planning all kinds of fun activities, and my kids always reep the benefits. They just had this thing called a pirate party. It is for boys and they dress up like pirates and a real life pirate comes to speak to them, and they teach the children manners and different things. So my mom had Kael and Emma spend the night at there house on friday night (I got a much needed break). My mom took Kael to the pirate party and my dad took Emma to McDonalds. After the party my mom had to rush Kael to his soccer game he had a pretty good day!

Memories

So this whole blogging thing has turned into my journal. I am not the best at writing things down, but ever since I started to blog I dont know its kind of easier to log all of the memories that I dont want to forget things.

I was thinking now that none of my kids talk baby talk anymore it is kind of sad. They use to mis pronounce words and I just thought it was so cute, but ever since Emma could talk she has tried to say every word correct and she pretty much does. So I wanted to document the funny things that my kids use to say before I forget about them completly.

Kael use to say fiderman instead of spider man, he use to say fagetti instead of spagetti. Josh corrected him as soon as he would say it. He also use to call birdies b's I LOVED THAT IT WAS SO CUTE! He would also call rootbeer rootbeater (: When he was mad he would say I cant yike you or I cant yike that, that was a favorite phrase among the Lamb family. I think Cameron still says that. (: He would call Alicia shasha cause he couldnt say her name.

Emma: one of the only things she would ever say was I want something for eat. We loved that. She would also call Kimmi mimi cause she couldnt say her name, and she used to call grandpa trampa-we still call him that sometimes (: Instead of yes she would say yesh-Cameron also still says that (:

I just wanted to document this because I know I wouldnt remember all of them forever infact there still might be some more that I am forgetting (:

The baby

Just a quick note. I had another ultrasound and the baby looks good. i was so nervous though I was just shaking like a leaf. But there was a heartbeat and the baby looks good right now. She couldnt tell me anything about the bleeding though. she has to talk with the doctor first and she wasent there today. i guess they will call me if anything is wrong. But the baby was wiggling and waving to me which I think is a good sign!! (:

Another fun day

Tis the season... To go to the pumpkin patch. That is were we went yesterday. My mom took us with her. Her ward had this planned as an enrichment activity. It was pretty fun we went on a hayride, saw some animals, jumped in a bounce house, picked a pumpkin. It was a little hot, but the kids still had a blast. I was worn out by the end of it though-the kids were NOT! (:

Shes going to drive me to drink!! (:

So on tuesday guess what she gets into? My face cream!! AHHH I swear! She is crying because she tasted it and didnt like the taste. I took Heather and Amanda's advice though and took a picture before I got angry. Little pill I swear I have to watch her 24/7

Life of a mother

Wow today started off with a bang! I was up stairs with Aiden trying to get him to go back to sleep for a little while, Kael and Emma were downstairs watching cartoons like good kids (I thought). I started to smell the bum cream that we have. Someone gave us a giant tub of it right after I had Aiden. Emmas new thing is making her mom crazy! IE; last week I was giving the kids cough medicine I just finished giving Emma her meds and then I was getting ready to give Kael some I set the open bottle on the counter for a second to give Kael his medicine, meanwhile right behind me Emma grabs the bottle and starts chuging it as fast as she can! I just couldnt believe it! We called poison control and everything was ok the little stinker! Than two weeks before this Emma and Kael were out side at my parents house and I go out there to get them to take them home, and I notice that they had pulled out some mushrooms that were growing out back. On mushroom looked funny though it had bite marks all around the edges. Who do you think ate the mushroom? If you guessed Emma you are correct!!! AHH she is just such a little pill!! Needless to say I have poison control on speed dial now because of her. Well she survived the mushroom incident. But today I carry Aiden downstairs to check on the kids and I notice Emma in the downstairs bathroom covered in the bum cream!!! The consistency is not creamy at all though it is more like a vaseline! All over her hands her clothes her hair! I look on the rug and it was all over she decided to get Aidens formula and mix that into the bum cream it was all over our tv all over my walls! Just imagine very thick vaseline all over your tv or on your walls, just super thick! That was how it was. Now I am a mommy that believes full heartedly in spankings let me tell you she got on for the record books today! I was just furious! I try to clean one room or thing a day as not to get overwhelmed by the whole giant messy house, and today was going to be the bathrooms. But instead it turned into cleaning up this gross vaseline like mess all over my living room!! Needless to say I got the mess cleaned up little miss Emma had to help me clean up the whole thing. I also got all the bathrooms cleaned as well. now that my house is clean I can kind of look back and laugh, but not really. By the way the bum cream wasent just lying out on the floor. It was put away in the cupboard with all the diapers and pullups. That little girl is determined to get into every possible thing she can!!!

AZ state fair

Last Friday was opening day at the Arizona state fair my parents and I took the kids. Since it was opening day it was only a dollar to get in. Here are just a few pics of them feeding some of the animals at the fair. I have video of my little dare devils riding every ride that they were tall enough for. Kael wanted to go on everything regardless of what the ride was or how tall he was. My dad bought the kids 60 tickets so they could get there fill of fun. Thankyou mom and dad for a fabulous time at the fair!!! The video will be coming soon after I figure out how to get it on here ( I am not the computer savvy one in the family!)

OOPS!

Well Josh and I did it again we are having another baby (hopefully). I had an ultrasound today and it was alittle scarey because the baby was surrounded in blood the doc said it could be normal or it could be the start of a miscarriage. We kind of have to wait and see. I am 12 weeks along and due right around the time Aiden was due last year my due date is April 25, 2008. This one was definetly not planned but none the less we are very excited. I am excited to be done with the whole being pregnant getting fat, no sleep stuff. This is it no more for us, number four and then we will be complete.

Ode to Santa Barbara

Well it has been a year since any of us have been to wonderful Santa Barbara. It was just last year my kids look so little. So many memories. So many wonderful little adventures. So many great places to visit there. I wish we were there. Josh and I were at the park and it was a beautiful day and if you closed your eyes and took a deep breath it almost smelled like Santa Barbara. The pics with the star fish are from the touch tank we always went to at the college. Other one was just a typical day at the beach for us (literally we would go to the beach everyday regardless of the weather) it is one of the most peaceful places on earth. The other pic with Kael and the waterfall is this great place you hike to and at the end is this wonderful waterfall. I am a little emotional about Santa Barbara it truley was our heaven on earth. (: Now we are back to the real world and it is great. We just missed our little heaven (:

Aiden in 6 months old now

Aiden was born April 3, 2007. It was a tuesday and I worked in the morning and I remeber telling my coworker that it felt like the babys head was rel low like he was falling out. I always go into labor early due to a surgery I had on my cervix before I had kids it had made it weak and unable to carry a child full term. So on the third I was 36 weeks and 4 days along. That is the longest I have ever been able to hold a child in before so I was quite proud. I only worked till noon that day I had my 36 week appointment that afternoon I was looking forward to seeing if there was any changes down there yet. I had a crazy dday with the kids and just going up and down our stairs all afternoon. Then it was time for my appointment. I loaded up the kids in the car and I remember looking at my hospital bag thinking well I could come back and get it if I needed it. I was having some contractions but they werent earth shattering at this point and you never know what the doctor will want to do. So I get to my appointment kids and all and of course the doctor was at the hospital delivering a baby so they wanted to reschedule my appointment. I said fine, but this other lady in the w aiting room was like no you need to get her back there and check her she is in labor! So the nurse practitioner took a look at me with my darling little brats in the room-needless to say they werent good kids. Then she said it you are dialated to a 4 and you have a bulgy bag (meaning it could break at any second) you need to get to the hospital now, then she looked at my kids and said what are you going to do aabout them? Good question my mom wasent out here yet Josh was downtown my dad was an hour away. I took them to the hospital with me. We got to the hospital I called my sis in law and she said she would come get the kids. Well the stupid hospital was doing some remodeling and parking was really far from the hospital. I got the kids out of the car. We walked by a grassy field that was getting watered and Emma wanted to run through the sprinklers not knowing that mommy was freaking out by this time. So I had to carry little miss thing into the hospital I walk up to the desk and I just start balling I couldnt speak anymore. I was a little freaked about having my kids with me. I had to go to a certain hospital that could do emergency c-section if needed because I wanted to have another VBAC again (vaginal birth after cesarian). Finally Josh got there and soon after I was in a room it was about 4:30 in the afternoon, my sis in law came around then to, to take my kids home. Meanwhile I was freaking out because I forgot my hospital bag with the camera and everything. They asked me if I wanted an epideral and I said yes please asap I was a 5 about then. My sis in law came back to the hospital with her camera so I could at least get our babys first moments captered. Of course my doc was at another hospital so I had some other man and still no epideral yet and he checked me around 6pm and I was a 6 and he broke my water on accident. I found out that the doc to give me my epideral was in an emergency so I would have to wait it out till he got there. I did my breathing I said some bad words mainly at the doctor for breaking my water and making the contractions come faster and more painfully and I swore at my hubby cause he didnt think it could really hurt that much and if I did the breathing right it would feel alot better. What does he know!! (: Well 7pm comes around still know doctor finally 7:30 comes and the doc shows up to do my epideral I have have a really bad experience with my first epideral with Kael and them not abel to get it between my bones and they had to shove the large needle back in a few time, and then with Emma I had some one else who did it once and he was amazing. Well this guy was like the first uy he was haing such a hard time getting it in, meanwhile I am dialated to an 8 by this time and Josh thinks I should just finish without the epideral- I wanted to kill him. and to bend over and try to touch my feet and hold perfectly still during horrible contractons and a man who couldt get the needle in. Finaly he got it and a little releif started to trickle in. But he didnt give me a very strong one because he knew I would be done in a few minutes. I kept telling the nurse I cant still wiggle my feet when its a good epideral you cant move anything! She just kept saying it will work in a minute. What a lie that turned out to be. We the time had come it was 8:05pm and the doc came back in they put me in the stirups and it was time to push. Wow that hurt more than imaginable! And the nurse kept saying look down you can see him I was like no js=ust get him out I dont want to see anything. Three pushes later and he was out and on my tummy. The pain wasent oer yet but at least there was something wonderful looking at me. Well Josh and I are all to aware of having a premie baby they usually have to take them away from you and start them on all kinds of things. So they had Aiden on the incubator and they were doing there tests. And Josh and I were just holding our breaths saying little prayers please dont let them take him please let him be ok. The NICU nurse came in looked at him and said no he is good he dosent need to go with us. He was my first baby that actually got to stay in my hospital room with me. It was so amazing Josh and I were so grateful to our heavenly father in blessing Aiden. He was 6lbs 10 oz, and 20 inches long born at 8:10pm exactly he was actually my biggest baby. His little face was very bruised because he came out so fast, and when they get bruised like that they are usually get jaundice which he did. But he fixed that and now he is a very healthy happy wonderful baby boy!
