Primary Program

Last Sunday was our Primary program.  It was exciting because I was involved with it, and just as excited about it as the kids were.  Kaels part was "Before we were born, we lived with Heavenly Father.  The place we lived before we were born is called the pre-mortal world.  We came to this earth to get a body and to be tested."  That is a big quote for such a little guy.  I was really worried that he wouldnt remember it.  But that morning he had it nailed.  And he wanted me to make sure that I told Sister Pearce that he didnt need her help.  (:  I did so great.  He got up to the microphone an hesitated for a moment but then he said his lines perfectly!!  I was so proud of him!  This was Emma's first year in the program and he line was "I am Emma and I am a child of God."  She kept changing it to "My name is Emma and I am a child of God."  She went up and said he lines, she hesitated at first also but then just said her lines and was great!  I am so glad it is over with.  All the kids did great.  The primary chorister kept fighting back tears the whole time as she was leading the children in their songs.  It was awesome!  Such a great spirit in the chapel.

First Tooth

Last Tuesday october 21st Mylee got her first tooth! Then that following Saturday she got her second tooth! They are her lower centrals. Yay for teeth!! Never a dull moment around here!

Halloween party

We had a fun halloween Party at my moms house yesterday. My mom ordered bread bowls that looked like pumpkins and then we ate yummy chili out of them. Josh loved the bread bowls, that is all he could talk about (: My mom got everyone pumpkins and we had a pumpkin carving contest. My Grandma was the judge so before she came out to see the pumpkins Kael went in and told her "grandma you get to pick the best pumpkin. Grandma can you please pick mine?" I just about died laughing when I heard him ask her that! Little stinker!! Then we wrapped the kids up like mummies and then they had a bean bag toss. Kael was such a terd and said he's never been to a Halloween party that only HAD 3 games. What a brat! Oh well it was a lot of fun!! Thanks mom for planning such a fun party!!!

Trunk or Treat

We went to my mom and dads trunk or treat last Friday.  It was alot of fun.  My mom made my nephew an elvis costume and we decided that Aiden needed one, then Josh thought he needed one so there you go.  Emma was a lady bug, we got her a flower costume but then she decided she wanted to wear her costume from last year, Kael was a shark I dont have any pictures of that yet, Aiden was Elvis, Mylee was a flower no pics yet, Josh was Elvis and I was Marilyn Monroe.  It was a blast.

Crafty

I am not crafty at all.  In fact my mother has tried to teach me but the gene just didn't hit me.  But I saw a fun craft on a blog that I thought I could do.  It didn't look to hard and it was something that my little trouble maker (Emma) could have fun doing.  I am always looking for new ways to entertain and keep her out of trouble! (:  This is what we did.

Grandma and Mylee watching the fun dosnt she look bigger?

We started out by painting the pumpkins with some Elmer's glue, and the poured glitter all over them.

Emma LOVED this little craft.

Our whole neighborhood got in on the action.  I got a spooky CD from Target for a dollar and the kids LOVED the spooky music, in fact every time we get in the car they want to hear it.  We told them they cant listen to it a bed time.  They still want to and don't understand why we wont let them.

The sprinkled pumpkins.  I let all the kids do a pumpkin but I am so mean I wouldn't let them take them home.  They are my decorations and they weren't cheep!

Isn't it pretty?

They were so much fun.  I think I still have glitter on my porch. (:

A night on the Town

A few weeks ago Josh got tickets for a benefit for the MDA.  It was the taste of the town and it had all kinds of restaurants the had little appetizers of what they serve at their place.  They also had a silent auction.  So we got all dressed up and brought some friends along, and stuffed our faces.  Its always fun to get dressed up.  Its even more fun when there is lots of yummy food.

Getting ready to ditch the kids

Just being silly.  That is not beer in Bryan's hand by the way.

It was some energy drink that the boys wanted to try and I guess they liked it.

I could not get them both to take a nice picture at the same time.

(:

Natalie and I.  We had a great night out with great friends.  Thanks for going with us!

Awesome mommy moment

Yesterday our ward had fast and testimony meeting.  Kael had seen a few of his friends go up and bear their testimonies.  Kael asked Josh "daddy how come I never get to bear my testimony?", josh said "do you want to?"  Kael said "yes"  Josh then asked him what he would say and Kael then told him then Josh said do you want me to go with you?  Kael told him that he could do it.  I wasn't in on this conversation so when Kael started walking up their I was like JOSH go with him, he cant go by himself!!  Josh was like don't worry he's got it he can do this.  My heart was pounding out of my chest.  Then it was his turn, he walked right up to the microphone and spoke into it  and said "I'd like to bear my testimony I know this church is true I love my mommy and daddy and my brother and sisters, I say these things in the name of Jesus christ amen."  He got down from the stage and walked back to us with this huge smile on his face.  I was balling like a little baby.  I was so proud of my fearless little boy going up all by himself.  He later said mommy I wasn't even shy!  (:  One of my top favorite moments of being a mom was right there, getting to witness my sweet little boy gain a testimony and grow up so much.  I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to be a mom.  Most days are very crazy and very stressful, and then there are just wonderful moments like this that makes everything worth it!

I am crying just thinking about it.  I will never forget it.

Just about...

Anywhere!!

When this little guy is tired, there isn't a place that wont work for him.  Whether it be the couch, the car, the crib, the wood floor, the high chair, or the mothers room floor he is perfectly happy to take a nap there.  I LOVE this little guy so much!  He brings so much joy and fun to our lives, that it is just hard to imagine what we did without him.

Busy busy busy!!

I have some super fun pics of my cute kids to post.  But due to some changes in our world I have been so incredibly busy that I havent had much time to do anything.

After praying and praying and praying for Josh to find a better job, it turns out that Heavenly Father wants him right where he is.  But that didnt mean that he didnt answer my prayers.  I had been looking on the internet through every job in the classifieds for a new job for Josh and I came across a job that was a dental assistant instructor mon-thur 6pm -10pm at a college here in Mesa.  It was right up my alley.  After being in the dental field for ten years I had all the qualifications that were needed.  I applied for the job, and I got a call the next day, interviewed the day after that, and after a background check I got the job!  I swear I was born for this job.  For those of you who dont know me that well, I can be a bit bossy.  In fact I love to be the boss and in charge, but I also LOVE the dental field.  I just cant work the normal hours anymore with 4 little ones.  This way I get a nice little break from my little sweet hearts at night,  I get paid to teach what I love and to be the boss, and I dont have to work weekends!  So we will work hard during the week, and play hard on the weekends.
This was such a testimony builder to me about the power of prayer.  I was starting to feel like I was being ignored, that my pleading, begging, and crying to the lord was going unheard.  Just when I was at the point of complete despair of feeling ignored, that still small voice told me to look through every job, and then told me you probably wont get that job, but you should apply anyway.  I am truly amazed by my heavenly father and the mysterious ways in which he works!  I am so grateful not to be alone in this world, that he does hear and answer my prayers-even if he didnt answer my prayers the way I that I thought they should be answered, he still answers them in the way they were meant to be answered.
Once I get back into my routine I will be better at posting my darling pictures!!  (:
