Barron/Porter Family Reunion Reader beware this is a long post!!

This was our first ever Barron/Porter Family reunion. We went to McGrath State Beach in Ventura and camped there for a week with the family it was fun. Or I should say the kids have a blast. (When you kids are with you its not a vacation for you it is a trip, when there are no kids, its a vacation) (:

Nana got the older kids in her car... Lucky!!!  Those ones are so much easier!!!

I got the stinky babies, well at least one of them is stinky and you know who it is!

We just arrived Aiden had got his clothes all dirty and it was cold so I put warm clothes on and got him cleaned five minutes later this is what he looked like.  He thought it was fun to pick up dirt and put it in his hair (:  he was our little pig pen all week long (:

Looking for more dirt

Great Grandma Sharon had gift bags for all the families.  They were great beach bags with all kinds of fun toys for the beach, there were also bubbles and a bubble blower.

The camp had this little jr ranger thing for the kids it was about the beach so we decided  to go check it out


We went to the wrong spot but we eventually found it

Our first trip to the beach, it was freezing cold that day and the sun was no where to be seen!



Aidens first time at the beach, he loved the sand and was cautious about the waves, and then once he realized it was water he didnt want to get out.  Josh brought him back up to me and he was not happy.

Finally all the cousins that were coming have arrived and the fun can begin.  We had Pirate night all the kids had eye patches and earings and pirate tattoos , this is the kids before they began the treasure hunt



AA going to knife somebody!  The each got either a gut that shot darts or a knife this is them with their stuff.  Compasses spotting scopes as Kael calls them, eye patches and booty.

Next day at the beach the sun was out and it was beautiful.


We were at this little area that was perfect for the kids no waves so they could play in the water.  They had a blast!

That night we had a talent show and the kids each did their own talent, all pretty much were singing.  This is Meleana (sp) singing.

The next night we had a fiesta.  The pics were courtesy of  Josh AA needed a shower and a warm bed so I missed out on this activity and Laura took over.

Our last day we went to our home away from hom Santa Barbara the kids were a bit tired from all the fun they were having





Ok I dont know how long this guy has been here but it seems like he goes to the Santa Barbara pier everyday and he makes a new sand sculpture and I remember I once tried to take a picture with my cell phone of one of them and he put his hand in front of it and was such a jerk about me giving him a tip first that I was like forget it.  Well this time I was in the car and he didnt see me with my camera.  I got a picture ha ha!!  It is a mermaid I am in the car and I didnt want him to see me and take my camera away or something so I had to do it fast.  That is the jerk by the way with the hat on.

This is us on the little boat that gives tours of the santa barbara pier area and he takes you to some california sea lions.  My kids and I went on this boat frequently when we lived here so I had to take AA on it.  He loved it.
