Aiden in 6 months old now

Aiden was born April 3, 2007. It was a tuesday and I worked in the morning and I remeber telling my coworker that it felt like the babys head was rel low like he was falling out. I always go into labor early due to a surgery I had on my cervix before I had kids it had made it weak and unable to carry a child full term. So on the third I was 36 weeks and 4 days along. That is the longest I have ever been able to hold a child in before so I was quite proud. I only worked till noon that day I had my 36 week appointment that afternoon I was looking forward to seeing if there was any changes down there yet. I had a crazy dday with the kids and just going up and down our stairs all afternoon. Then it was time for my appointment. I loaded up the kids in the car and I remember looking at my hospital bag thinking well I could come back and get it if I needed it. I was having some contractions but they werent earth shattering at this point and you never know what the doctor will want to do. So I get to my appointment kids and all and of course the doctor was at the hospital delivering a baby so they wanted to reschedule my appointment. I said fine, but this other lady in the w aiting room was like no you need to get her back there and check her she is in labor! So the nurse practitioner took a look at me with my darling little brats in the room-needless to say they werent good kids. Then she said it you are dialated to a 4 and you have a bulgy bag (meaning it could break at any second) you need to get to the hospital now, then she looked at my kids and said what are you going to do aabout them? Good question my mom wasent out here yet Josh was downtown my dad was an hour away. I took them to the hospital with me. We got to the hospital I called my sis in law and she said she would come get the kids. Well the stupid hospital was doing some remodeling and parking was really far from the hospital. I got the kids out of the car. We walked by a grassy field that was getting watered and Emma wanted to run through the sprinklers not knowing that mommy was freaking out by this time. So I had to carry little miss thing into the hospital I walk up to the desk and I just start balling I couldnt speak anymore. I was a little freaked about having my kids with me. I had to go to a certain hospital that could do emergency c-section if needed because I wanted to have another VBAC again (vaginal birth after cesarian). Finally Josh got there and soon after I was in a room it was about 4:30 in the afternoon, my sis in law came around then to, to take my kids home. Meanwhile I was freaking out because I forgot my hospital bag with the camera and everything. They asked me if I wanted an epideral and I said yes please asap I was a 5 about then. My sis in law came back to the hospital with her camera so I could at least get our babys first moments captered. Of course my doc was at another hospital so I had some other man and still no epideral yet and he checked me around 6pm and I was a 6 and he broke my water on accident. I found out that the doc to give me my epideral was in an emergency so I would have to wait it out till he got there. I did my breathing I said some bad words mainly at the doctor for breaking my water and making the contractions come faster and more painfully and I swore at my hubby cause he didnt think it could really hurt that much and if I did the breathing right it would feel alot better. What does he know!! (: Well 7pm comes around still know doctor finally 7:30 comes and the doc shows up to do my epideral I have have a really bad experience with my first epideral with Kael and them not abel to get it between my bones and they had to shove the large needle back in a few time, and then with Emma I had some one else who did it once and he was amazing. Well this guy was like the first uy he was haing such a hard time getting it in, meanwhile I am dialated to an 8 by this time and Josh thinks I should just finish without the epideral- I wanted to kill him. and to bend over and try to touch my feet and hold perfectly still during horrible contractons and a man who couldt get the needle in. Finaly he got it and a little releif started to trickle in. But he didnt give me a very strong one because he knew I would be done in a few minutes. I kept telling the nurse I cant still wiggle my feet when its a good epideral you cant move anything! She just kept saying it will work in a minute. What a lie that turned out to be. We the time had come it was 8:05pm and the doc came back in they put me in the stirups and it was time to push. Wow that hurt more than imaginable! And the nurse kept saying look down you can see him I was like no js=ust get him out I dont want to see anything. Three pushes later and he was out and on my tummy. The pain wasent oer yet but at least there was something wonderful looking at me. Well Josh and I are all to aware of having a premie baby they usually have to take them away from you and start them on all kinds of things. So they had Aiden on the incubator and they were doing there tests. And Josh and I were just holding our breaths saying little prayers please dont let them take him please let him be ok. The NICU nurse came in looked at him and said no he is good he dosent need to go with us. He was my first baby that actually got to stay in my hospital room with me. It was so amazing Josh and I were so grateful to our heavenly father in blessing Aiden. He was 6lbs 10 oz, and 20 inches long born at 8:10pm exactly he was actually my biggest baby. His little face was very bruised because he came out so fast, and when they get bruised like that they are usually get jaundice which he did. But he fixed that and now he is a very healthy happy wonderful baby boy!

Silly little Emma

So every night Emma finds herself in our room on the floor right next to my bed. If I get up in the middle of the night I have to be careful so not to step on her. So last night before I went to bed I went in to check on her and it looks like she tried to go to my room but gave up and just made a little bed on her floor. We put her back in bed but she prefers the hard floor to her very nice bed. Her shirt is pulled up because she has to have quick access to her belly button she calls her pico. She likes to have her fingers touching it, I guess it soothes her I am not sure (:
